PEACE SONG TAPESTRIES
SBS Radio & Living in Harmony invite the young music makers to discover new ways for peace through the power of music. Contributed works will form part of the weekly SBS Radio Broadcast.
The Peace Song Tapestries is the concept of musical director Thomas Fitzgerald, who will weave your songs of peace into a new work, a music and soundscape Tapestry for peace to showcase them in concert during the Sydney Harmony Day celebrations.
If you are under 26 years, you are eligible to participate in this exciting new project
The first piece presented this week by Dr Tom was 'Global Warming', a collaboration between guest hosts, poet Rahat and musician Kim Dylan. We heard 'Peace be with you' from the Fitzroy Community School Choir, sung in five different languages and then an 'a capella' work by singer and composer, Kristen.
The Peace Song Tapestries is broadcast weekly at 5pm, Tuesday on SBS Radio World View. Visit the radio page for program information & to listen to podcasts.
